Laboratory Manager, Carlos Lovera, CT (ASCP), founded Rolling Oaks Cytopathology Consultants ("ROCC") after acquiring 26 years of experience at Laboratory Corporation of America. He also holds a vast amount of hospital laboratory experience and forms part of a team of inspectors for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The combination of this experience, its medical director’s expertise as a Board-Certified Cytopathologist and its vision to improve efficiency through the meaningful use of technology, is only what begins to differentiate ROCC from its competitors.

The mission at ROCC is to provide physicians and patients the most compelling value by offering the highest quality diagnostic insights and innovation. Nevertheless, it will not achieve its mission blindly, which is why we treat your practice’s specific needs as a guide. In this way, we form a lasting relationship centered on your patients. In pursuit of its mission, ROCC is continually expanding its services to better serve its clients, from offering electronic reporting to adding new tests to its service portfolio. At present, ROCC offers multiple testing services under four main classes: 1) cytology, 2) molecular pathology, 3) surgical pathology and 4) clinical testing. Specialties covered by our team of pathologists include: dermatopathology, cytopathology and anatomic pathology.

Consistent with its mission, ROCC will not settle with the status quo of the traditional laboratory, but rather adapt to ever-evolving market and regulatory conditions in its pursuit of serving you with your patients in mind. Today, ROCC is honored with the privilege of serving a key role in the continuum of care by providing gynecologic cytopathology services to clients both domestically and abroad.

In light of recent and forthcoming changes in the healthcare industry, ROCC positions itself to offer physicians innovative solutions for their cytopathology needs. Such solutions primarily leverage the meaningful use of technology to facilitate information exchange, improving interoperability between ROCC and its clients. For instance, ROCC provides its clients with flexibility that allows them to opt-in for services such as e-reporting and e-payment. Additionally, ROCC enables clients to create virtual profiles on its web site that enable them to: submit requisitions; request supplies; view laboratory results in PDF-format; make online payments; and view statistics. These services are also provided with the intention of reducing both the time spent and financial burden incurred by our clients by scanning reports for storage within their own systems. While maintaining a commitment to privacy and security, ROCC’s data-driven approach aims to deliver excellent results to clients both near and far.

We invite you to try our services and to contact us should you have any questions.
